What's up guys here i just bringing you another review i'm actually editing another review right here as you can see getting it ready for you guys i wanted to bring you a quick five things that i love about the smh-5 since i bought it and i hope you really enjoy it my bike is actually in the shop right now getting ready for another big ride doing its annual maintenance so many more blogs coming your way so let's jump straight into it five things i love about the smh-5s com system so the first thing that i absolutely love about the smh-5s are the speakers the speakers are much better quality than the smh-5 the smh-5s actually comes with concave speakers as well tries to deliver a much better sound quality they do actually come with foam around the speakers.

It's more comfortable and kind of gives you that cleaner sound quality coming through.

Those earphones h5 actually only has this really basic speakers the 5s is definitely leaps and bounds better the sound quality is so much better it has better highs and better lows still not the most amazing bass but they are way better speakers and definitely worth that little bit higher price point another thing that is great about these speakers is you can actually hear your friends or your music on the highway when you're actually traveling at decent speeds smh-5 really once you started going above maybe 60 kilometers an hour around 45 miles an hour okay right around that speed anything above that you're gonna start having some trouble maybe even turning it up too loud to try and compensate and then you get these really bad squelching sounds so definitely not worth it the smh5 is great if you're looking for a budget but if you really want those more premium speakers the 5s so much better second thing that i love about the 5s is the bluetooth 5. man i didn't think this was going gonna make a huge difference but it actually does i don't always ride with my bluetooth on basically what i do is i'll ride with it on my helmet and if i feel my phone vibrating in my pocket.

I'm getting a phone call what i'll do is i'll click those buttons turn it on and then it answers the phone automatically for me with the five i had to wait a little bit it would click through register connect then answer bit of a process with the 5s as soon as i turn it on boom phone call answered and i'm talking to the person that's calling me just such a smoother process really like how quickly that 5s connects via bluetooth to my phone the third thing is how easy senecalms connect to each other it's super easy i'm going to show you real quick in this video how to do it so connecting these comms to each other is actually really simple all i'm doing here is powering them on and once they're both on actually what i'm going to do is put them into pairing mode and to put them into pairing mode you just have to hold down the main knob for about five seconds and then you'll see them click over into pairing mode it's much easier to see with the screen on the left you can see here how the screen with the 5s actually does help you see it's in pairing mode now what they're doing is trying to talk to each other if you just click it once quick it doesn't work but you actually have to kind of click it down for about two seconds and then boom you have that connection between the two comms secured and you're solid to go i clicked it a little bit too long there but you can see they're connected now the fourth thing that's really great about the 5s is the screen on the outside so of course the screen is actually useless when you're riding the bike because you can't see it but when you're off the bike and actually configuring it to get ready to ride or connect with the riders it's super helpful to have that screen just to have that little extra confidence to know that you're in the right mode to do what you want to do with the com so thumbs up for the screen and the fifth and final thing that's great about the sena 5s is the app capability when you make that jump from the 5 to the 5s you actually get the ability to use cena's app which basically allows you to do many functions one of which being connecting to other cinecoms via a qr code they would take their phone scan the qr code on your phone and it would connect you guys instantly now i haven't really had a problem connecting with people so i don't think that that's necessary but it is a cool feature quick note if you are downloading the app make sure that you get the correct app for the com system that you have because sena has many versions of the app four different columns so make sure that you're getting the right one for the con that you have another great thing that i love about senna is you can actually use and i'm sure many other comps have this you can actually download a software on your computer that allows you to connect and do software updates control your multitasking settings and as well be able to change the language on your com system if you are watching this from a different country other than english speaking one you can change that there's a plethora of languages that you can change this to and it's pretty easy to use the system great walkthrough and it's it's a little bit old-fashioned looking but it's actually super easy to use and they walk through the steps very easily on the software so there you guys go there are five top things that i love about the sena 5s and why i think you guys should get it if you guys are looking for that really really budget comp system just to get you started on the road go with the five it is still a great budget com but if you guys are looking for that mid-range com system you don't want to go above 200 but you would like to get that mid-range get some better speakers a little bit more range and a little bit premium features go with the cena 5s you will not regret it the extra 50 is well spent so thanks so much for watching guys i have some new content coming out soon i'm about to do a long trip down south to a festival i'm really excited for that footage and also i'm gonna post a blog on what i pack when i go on long rides so hopefully that'll help you guys out stay tuned this is american abroad and i'll catch you guys later.
